NAIL'D IT!

So, as you know, from reading many of my previous posts. Expression of myself through art is something I life and thrive off of. I have been getting my nails professionally done since I have 16. I had my first taste of it when I entered a salon the day of my Junior prom. I instantly fell in love. I wasn't sure how I'd like them or if I'd ever go back and keep them up, but 12 years later and my passion for the art has grown. I have had almost any thing and everything you can think of of done to my nails, and now that nails are such a booming and popular fashion statement and no longer considered "ghetto"-- because even the white girls get funky nail designs now-- it's cool to do and express yourself! Here are a few pictures of my most infamous nail styles, most of them done by my nail tech and good friend Kiki Taylor is is something like a local and national celebrity these days at nearly 40K followers on Instagram! [@Kreationsbykiki] I'm one of her long-standing clients and hunny we have been through, talked about, and witnessed it all! I thank her for keeping my nails S L A Y E D. She's a true talent and she's even inspired me to hopefully pursue my passion of going to nail school one day soon. If I ever move, or vice versa, if she ever moves, I'll C R Y my little heart out, but until then continue to bless me Ki!

Make-Up Tutorials with JG!

So....It's been forever seen I've graced your screens! I got a new job position, finished Grad school, moved...you know just regular life sh*t! Finally had to catch back up, but in a new way. I have always loved drawing and painting and once upon a time was really good at it! Now I've found a new love interest...."Beating" my face...a.k.a. gracing my face with Make-up!!! I have dibbled and dabbled in makeup since I was about 19, but nothing too serious until now. It reminds me of my first love, painting. The sheer talent and creativity I see girls have with this art form is AMAZING. So, I figured, how much harder could it be for me to apply my once steady painter's hand to the make-up art form?!?! So glad I did. I have recently been doing Facebook Live Tutorials and my friends have been loving them (s/o to y'all for that positive feedback). So now, I'm ready to share them on my Blog. I don't know if I've gotten confident enough to explore posting them to YouTube, but I am getting there! Also, disclaimer....I'm not professional, this is strictly for personal pleasure and simple makeup application for the everyday woman..or man!
